PLANNING & RENTALS

Floral | Flowers by Lesley

This floral arrangement made it to my top pick for a few reasons. First off, bold colors like this just make me happy! I also love things that are slightly out of the box, so the incorporation of the cabbage and artichoke in this gorgeous arrangement made it an instant winner in my book. Lastly, I am in love the current trend of non-symmetrical floral arrangements that change drastically from one side to the other. This arrangement does so impeccably. -Katie

Floral Details | Deep red roses, ornamental artichoke, ranunculus, clematis (the purple hanging star flowers) leucadendron, hanging red amaranths, seeded eucalyptus, brassica, (ornamental cabbage) white roses and two varieties of peonies.

Desserts | Donut Den

This won top spot for my favorite desserts because um, hello? It’s a donut cake. Ever since I was little, I never was too much of a cake fan. Throughout the years, my birthday candles were stuck into donuts, ice cream, and even a Wendy’s burger once. Because of this, I love seeing other people get creative and think outside of the box for their wedding cake! Also, donuts are just delicious. -Katie

Bridal Fashion | Sarah Seven

I chose this dress as a favorite because on paper, it’s not something I would expect to like. I was unsure about the sleeves and thought it was kind of plain on the hanger. After this shoot though, this dress demanded that I change my mind. It proved itself as an elegant, feminine, romantic & bold gown that deserved to be appreciated. So kudos to you Sullivan, you’re my pick of the year! -Katie

Tidbits & Tips | Be Different

Working with clients that want something just a little bit different is always like a breath of fresh air – and that’s just what we got with ceremony coordination clients Erin + Alex! Their outdoor event took place at Cypress Grove Estate House, but they brought in their own custom chuppah and hosted their ceremony on the lawn instead of at the gazebo {the most used ceremony location at Cypress Grove}. And what a stunning ceremony it was! Check out the rustic inspired design, crafted by Flowers by Milk & Honey.

Featured Vendor | Carly Ane’s Floral Studio

Oh, how we love fall! Cool breezes, apple cider, rich colors, and lots {and lots} of weddings =) You know what else we love? Creative vendors – just check out this stunning arrangement dreamed up by Carly Ane’s Floral Studio! They featured this {any many other} centerpiece at Cypress Grove’s recent tasting, and we can’t get over they incorporated fresh fruit into the arrangement. It added a fun texture and a gorgeous Merlot color to the piece!

Happy Fall!

In the spirit of the season, we’re sharing one of our favorite fall inspired bouquets from Candice + Jeff’s intimate ceremony. The bride chose to incorporate simple flowers {roses, calla lilies, daisies, and a small handful of ranunculus} in some stunningly bold colors. What a statement it made against her flowy white gown!

Tidbits + Tips | Making it Personal

Weddings are just the most wonderful events, and our team loves when clients add special personal touches! Our sweet UK couple, Fay + Dan, are parents to two fluffy bunnies {and some sweet little kitties} and since they couldn’t make the trip across the pond, the bride had these adorable cake toppers made to incorporate their furry friends into the wedding! What are some personal touches you’re incorporating into your wedding? Head over to our Facebook page and let us know!
